Prebiotics support and feed the good bacteria that serve as a natural defense against the environmental damage and inflammation commonly associated with itching, dryness, infection and odor. When applied to the skin, probiotics support the good bacteria that naturally calm inflammation and prevent bad bacteria from taking over.

My dog has more than a dry nose, it seems to be some kind of infection or other issue. We have tried many creams and they do moisturize. However, the magic sauce in Skout’s seems to actually heal my dog’s dry, cracked nose. So why 4 stars instead of 5? It is so hard to apply because it is nearly solid. I have to scrape a chunk on to my fingers and warm it up in my hands. From there, I can maybe get 5% of what is now glued to my fingers on to his nose. I think the fact that it stays on so well is indeed a bonus, I just wish it was easier to apply. I can definitely tell that my dog is uncomfortable as I try to apply it. If they could just make it a tad softer, it would be 5 stars for me.Was this helpful?Pet DogPet's Coat Type MediumPet's Skin Type Dry, Yeasty, SensitiveFragranceRated 3.0 on a scale of 1 to 5SHSkout's Honor9 seconds ago
Thanks for your feedback! The consistency is harder to ensure that the balm doesn't melt during transit. To help with the application process, we recommend first breaking the surface of the balm by applying pressure with your thumbs. Once you break the surface, rub a small amount between your fingers and then apply to the desired area. An updated formula will be released later this year. Please reach out to us if you have any additional questions or concerns.

I'm very sorry to hear about your experience with our Prebiotic Pet Balm! This product was actually designed this way to help melting in transit. We advise using your thumb to apply pressure to the center of the balm and breaking the surface. Many have this to work well but if this isn't the case for you, then another method is running a metal spoon under warm water and scooping out the desired amount then applying it your pet's paws. I hope this helps but please feel free to reach out with any further questions or concerns at 877-805-0399 or at firstname.lastname@example.org and we'd be happy to help you further.

I'm sorry to hear you weren't satisfied with our Prebiotic Pet Balm! This product was designed this way to avoid melting in transit but I undestand your concern. We do recommend applying pressure to the center of the balm. Ultimately, cracking the surface which should make it easier to apply.I hope this helps but if not, then please feel free to contact us directly at email@example.com or at 877-805-0399.

It worked wonders for my corgi’s rough little feet! It’s a little tough to work out of the tin but it just takes a little warmth. His poor cracked feet were soft again in only a couple days. Was this helpful?
